Our Advocates and Legal Advisers are highly qualified and experienced in their relevant fields. All of our support staff are English speaking and have extensive business experience.

Naomi Mehmet LL.B. (Hons)
Advocate
Naomi was born and grew up in North London. She studied Law at University
College London (UCL), graduating in 2001. She then went on to complete
the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London, passing her
exams with distinction. With the aim of expanding her legal knowledge
and improving her language skills, Naomi then took up a job working in
the legal department of a prestigious offshore trusts company based in
Liechtenstein. In 2003, Naomi, moved to Northern Cyprus where she gained
employment in a large law firm in Kyrenia. This enabled her to gain invaluable
experience of the legal system of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
(T.R.N.C). Naomi was called to the T.R.N.C bar in 2005. In setting up
Naomi Mehmet & Partners, Naomi aims to provide the T.R.N.C with its
first truly professional international law firm and to use her skills
and experience to offer clients in the T.R.N.C a first class legal service.
Naomi is fluent in English, German and Turkish.
Hasan Dağlı LL.B. (Hons)
Advocate
Hasan is originally from Cyprus, but has spent many years in the United Kingdom.
He completed his first degree in Business Administration at the Eastern Mediterranean University,
Cyprus in 1997 and subsequently studied for his Msc. in Finance at the University of Leicester,
graduating in 1998. He then completed a senior status LL.B. (Hons) degree at the University of Wolverhampton in 2000.
Following his call to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2002,
Hasan took up a job in a firm of solicitors in North London which enabled him to gain further experience
of the legal system of the United Kingdom. Hasan returned to Cyprus in 2004 where he worked for some time
with a prestigious law firm in Nicosia. Between February and August 2005, Hasan completed a 'stage'
at the cabinet of the Commissioner of the European Union responsible for Health and Consumer Protection
where he gained invaluable experience of the law making process within the European Union. Hasan is
fluent in Turkish and English and his work for Naomi Mehmet & Partners involves both legal advice and representation at all levels in
areas of conveyancing, litigation and company law of North Cyprus.
Debra Dolling F.Inst.L.Ex
Legal Adviser
Debra was born and grew up in England and moved to Northern Cyprus with her family in 2007. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and a Commissioner for Oaths having qualified in the United Kingdom. A Legal Executive is legally trained and must have completed at least 8 years of employment with a solicitor and must have passed the Institute's qualifying examinations. These examinations lay particular emphasis upon the practical as well as academic aspects of legal work, and the final fellowship examinations are recognised by the English Law Society as earning exemptions from equivalent papers in the qualifying examinations for solicitors. Debra has twenty years of experience in Property Law, Conveyancing, Probate and Succession and Will writing.
