Historic Relics Found in the Karpaz - (Reported Cyprus Today 1st March 2014)

Bronze Age Relics dating back around 2300 years and quoted to be some of the richest ever discovered in the region were discovered at Kaleburnu in the Karpaz  area of Northern Cyprus. The find includes arrowheads, spearheads, tools and ritual and holy artefacts. Experts believe that the items belonged to an elite society which once inhabited the area and are hoping to establish a museum to display the treasures. Cyprus has been inhabited since the Stone Age and has been of geographical and strategic importance to various civilisations throughout the ages. This latest find further illustrates the historical importance of Cyprus adds to the island’s already rich and cultural heritage.
